In June, my dad received his high school diploma as a veteran at 80 years of age. He was supposed to walk through the line with all the high school students from Kingston, but ended up in the hospital. So, he received it at the school board meeting. Lots of his friends and family came for the occasion.A local ice cream owner told dad if he brought back his diploma he would give him free ice cream. The owner treated us all!!!

Afterwards, he got free ice cream for all of us at a local establishment by showing the man his diploma.

I am so proud of him that he cared enough to do all the application and talk to the right people to see it happen.

I was disappointed that he did not want anything in the newspaper about it. So, I’m telling you all!!!

One of my major projects of late has been trying to go through old movies from the 50’s to see if they are worth putting to a DVD. Because there are so many, I decided I had to view them all, etc. etc. I ended up so far with 119 snippets that I videod from the screen to my digital camera. They capture the essence of what I want to preserve for the family. So, now I have downloaded them to my computer. Next step will be to burn them to DVD. That I have to figure out yet. So, keep posted.
