This July we attended our annual Grant reunion – descendants of Ralph and Estella. We had a great time again and thank our hosts. Special celebration was for Harold Grant’s 80th birthday.

If you want to see more pictures, make a comment to such and I will send you a link to a private photo album. Black and white photo is Aunt Emily and Grandma Estella.
In June, my dad received his high school diploma as a veteran at 80 years of age. He was supposed to walk through the line with all the high school students from Kingston, but ended up in the hospital. So, he received it at the school board meeting. Lots of his friends and family came for the occasion.

Afterwards, he got free ice cream for all of us at a local establishment by showing the man his diploma.
I am so proud of him that he cared enough to do all the application and talk to the right people to see it happen.
I was disappointed that he did not want anything in the newspaper about it. So, I’m telling you all!!!
We were blessed to once again attend General Conference of the Wesleyan Church this time in Orlando. Joann Lyon was elected the new General Superintendant. I have attached a few of my photos from the weeks events.

I have uploaded all my photos from Festival of Missions at picasaweb.google.com/shokanwesleyan/GeneralConferenceOfTheWesleyanChurch08
Please enjoy them!
We were able to spend time with our growing families over the holidays. Though many of us were sick with the colds going around we had a wonderful time together. Enjoy the photos. We celebrated Wolfgang’s 80th birthday (Jan 31st) a few weeks early.
(I have a new camera and I am having difficulty getting thumbnail pics up. I still have so much to learn.)
I was yard saling and bought a set of dishes. I thought they would be a good item to sell on ebay. But it seems that they are very rare. Any one out there have any interest in these lovely dishes? Pattern is Virginia #7622 of Wentworth China made in Japan. They have a very lovely weave pattern in the whole plate and have silver trim.
This year I directed once again a drive through nativity with several changes and modifications. We also added an indoor marketplace that had hands on activities for all ages. It was two very cold and exciting evenings as cars drove through from all parts of the Hudson Valley and many came indoors for the activities. Special thanks to a staff of over fifty that gave this great gift to our community once again.
